| Telemarketing has become an important sales channel for most insurance companies because of its low cost and powerful customer radiation. The development of the telemarketing business is highly dependent on the safe and efficient telemarketing system (TMS) which is needed to provide strong technical support for function optimization and expansion. The telemarketing center needs coordination and interaction with other departments such as financial deductions with financial department and policy delivery with logistics department, according to the telemarketing business survey about a Sino-foreign joint venture insurance company. A separate telemarketing system (Bank TMS) is deployed inside the bank and policy data is needed to synchronize to the insurance company’s telemarketing system (Self TMS) for next steps such as policy delivery, financial deductions and so on in the business model of the bank. It can be seen that the need of a multi level and extensible telemarketing system is very urgent.In order to build a system that adapts to the characteristics of life insurance business, the primary works in this thesis are presented as follows:(1) The B/S architecture as the system architecture is determined to ensure the needs of versatility, efficiency and extendibility, and the framework, physical deployment and calling system integration of the life insurance telemarketing system are planned, and logic modules of system functions, the database structure, the user interface and extended interfaces are designed.(2) System docking is achieved between TMS and other systems inside and outside the life insurance company, the workflow of life insurance business is improved and the efficiency is speeded up from customer data dialing to generating effective policy based on web service technology and cross platform data exchange by XML. The data exchange between the Bank TMS and the Self TMS system is realized and the security and efficiency of data transmission is improved according to data encrypting of XML.(3) User interface with excellent interaction is deployed by framework platform integrated with Ajax technology and XML technology. The application quality and data security of TMS system is enhanced by the strategy of role control that specifies the functional interface and the authority of data viewing to different users.The life insurance telemarketing system designed and realized in this thesis has been put into use in a Sino-foreign joint venture enterprise. The system which has completed the cooperation workflow between telemarketing department and others resolved the island issue of bank telemarketing system and achieved data transfer among systems speeds up the policies’ efficient time and provides convenience to users to check work status and reaches a stable and efficient situation to its expected design purpose. |
