Then the online academic management system appears and completes the requirements.New Academic Management System should not only meet the large data storage, different storage access, high security and high accuracy requirements, also requires access to fast, convenient query, simple UI design, easy-to-use operation.Academic Management System belongs to IMS, which is short for Information Management System. it uses C/S architecture. According to the Server software installed on the Server, teachers and school staff can operate the operations like modify or delete through the terminal software just in their office.This paper takes Academic Management System of the Guangdong Petrochemical College as model. It introduces the process of establishing the system, technology used in this system are introduced in the first place, such as the three layer architecture, which can make the code more specification and easier to maintain, also, the high level protection can keep the system more safe and more difficult to be attacked; ODBC which helps the Academic Management System to send SQL statements to database also helps to make an accurate analysis of the complete requirements of the school teaching affairs. VS2010 is used to implement interface design which should not only make them qualified for data input and output, but also need a humanized UI to convenient man-machine interaction, such as less select box to reduce the user operation steps. As the core of system design, database is implemented with MSSQL2008, which provides better experience by techniques such as optimizing query efficiency index and storage process.Since the system running, school teaching affairs management becomes more efficient. The Academic Management System not only greatly improves the efficiency of administrators, teachers and students in teaching affairs, but also guarantees the accuracy and integrity of the data.
