It is well-known that the Internet is changeable and innovative. The Internet ought to be the greatest creation in the 21 st century. We are surrounded by the Internet. The arrival of microblog and WeChat, not only have overturned the reading habits of people, but also at the same time changed people’s lifestyle. It is microblog and wechat that promote the production of the Internet. They promote speeding up the revolution of newspapers as well. The rapid rise of the new media, such as network TV, microblog, WeChat, mobile TV, and mobile news, make huge impact on newspaper, one of the traditional media. They have large content and wide audience. They are convenient to use and spread fast. Why less and less people read newspapers, and how to recover market of traditional media are questions the article will research.This paper puts forward the development strategy of Bohai Morning Post and the corresponding management measures. It is based on the analysis of its development present situation, development target, and the advantages and disadvantages in the business environment. First of all, the research about the basic theory of strategic development and newspaper group provide the theory basis for the next step of the establishment of strategic planning for Bohai Morning Post. Second, it has analyzed the development status and target of Bohai Morning Post, and affirmed the achievements of Bohai Morning Post. Then, based on the SWOT theory, it analyzes under the new media era strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, and clears thoughts of the strategic planning of Bohai Morning Post for further analysis.Finally, this paper puts forward five development strategies in new media era on the basis of determining the Bohai Morning Post and strategic vision. First, use big data to promote transformation. Second, strengthen the new media, in order to promote the transformation of the media fusion development; Third, it is to build brand activities, and promote the management at the provincial level; Four is to create humanized supplement; Fifth, explore the new way that night package printing development, such as: green printing, in order to utilize the Internet newspaper printing OTO model innovation. At the same time, in order to ensure the smooth implementation of the strategy, put forward the new technology, human resources, financial management and project management, a total of four management measures and countermeasures.
