Design And Implementation Of Power Management System For University Student’s Dormitory

With the scale expanding of university and increasing of students’ number, university has had urgent demand of electricity management level in students’ dormitories. In order to improve the level of electricity management in students’ dormitories, this thesis designs a dormitory electricity management system and implements the function of providing a modern informational management platform for the university students’ dormitories. Combined with the infrared human body detection technology, this thesis makes design of the hardware of terminal smart meters of the electricity management system, and realize the function of unmanned automatic power off, and put an end to the hidden trouble of unmanned electricity using. In this thesis, I make use of the electronic smart meter to examine the using of high-power electrical appliance by students, and solve the problem of electrical overload in student’s dormitory. The communication interface used is the connection of SI of single chip of AT89C51 and RS-485 bus combined with software which has the purpose of realizing the inner communication of system. This thesis uses the designing method of Block Integration, which divides the whole system into several functional modules separately in designing process. Software uses the embedded Linux operating system to realize the control of the electricity acquisition chip. The management system is designed with DELPHI language. The vending system for electricity selling is designed with lightweight database of access, and the system management center with the database of SQL Server. The practical application of it shows that the technological roadmap adopted in this thesis could better achieve the predetermined target, and the system is structuralized reasonably and runs steadily, thus it has high level of social marketing.
