With the continuous development of industry, environmental pollution has become one of the great challenges of humanity. As a key factor of pollution, acid rain has done great damage to industrial and agricultural production, human health and Building security, etc, especially to large earthen architecture. The great wall, containing a large percentage of cobs, represents Chinese traditional culture and the precious cultural heritage, and to damage the great wall is to destroy the cultural heritage of humanity. So, it is a momentous research on the effect of acid rain on large earthen archaeological site’s health status. To design an acid rain measurement device that can apply to the wild poor high temperature environment and record acid rain data in real-time is an elementary work.In this paper, we study and implement an acid rain measurement method at the wild large ancient ruins based on the Internet of things technology. Acid rain amplification circuit on the basis of the characteristics of the pH measurement electrodes has been designed and implemented. In this circuit, measuring terminal adopts self-powered wind and solar way (hybrid power supply); Data measure adopts the temperature sensor of AVR control panel, which achieves automatic temperature compensation to pH-sensor and conditioning circuit. This ensures the accuracy of the harsh environment of acid rain detection, and the result will be uploaded to data management center through GPRS, then displayed and stored; Data management platform based on Labview forecasts the variation trend of acid rain in examination area according to historical data.The experimental results show that our measuring terminal can accurately send the reliable and stable measurement data to data management platform whose advantages are user-friendly, strong ability to predict, low cost and expanded function.
