The Design And Implementation Of Coastal Defense Radar Simulation System

Coastal radar is an important means to obtain information of marine for coastal defense forces, Its duty is also very arduous task. If coast defense radar full use of radar equipment on duty training, not only affects the radar service life and affect the completion of radar combat duty, seriously affecting the radar equipment effectiveness of play. So it is urgent to develop a defense radar simulation system to solve the problem of China’s coastal. At present our country in the development of radar simulation has some research results, but the application of radar simulation in coastal defense has not yet been demonstrated.Coastal defense radar simulation system, is a set of sea surveillance radar hardware and software simulation system. Through the requirements and function analysis of the coastal defense radar simulation system, on the basis of team assistance completed the design and development of the system. Coast defense radar simulation system includes three parts:guide control sub-system, radar display sub-system and radar transceiver sub-system. This paper focuses on the realization of the radar afterglow simulation of the plane (position indicator PPI) display, this is completed all by myself. The innovations are as follows:first, this paper applies the UTM projection algorithm to the PPI echo data coordinate conversion, and there is no reference example in China, which can effectively improve the accuracy of the coordinate transformation. Secondly, this paper uses GDI+double buffer drawing and matrix translation algorithm to realize the PPI simulation, which is the first time to be applied to the simulation of radar afterglow. Matrix translation algorithm can reduce the amount of calculation, and successfully solve the problem of screen flicker and the bottleneck of afterglow simulation. Finally, the coastal radar simulation system is China’s first radar simulation system in coastal areas.The development of coastal defense radar simulation system plays an important role in the implementation of information, automation and high efficiency for army radar training.
