With the development of simulation technology, more and more system must be built with hardware in the loop, and real-time performance is necessary. So far, domestic products of semi-physical simulation are less and most of them are from aboard. Because of the rapid development of embedded technology, semi-physical system can be designed to lower cost. Therefore, a low cost and reliable performance simulation system is developed. This system consists of application software on computer and simulation target machine (GT2440), the ultimate goal is to run the simulation model on the target board form hardware in the loop and validate the correction of the model. Main works are done as follows:1.The function requirements of simulation system are analyzed, structure design is put forward in this paper, the hardware and software development environment is built. In order to make simulation model run on the target board, system must have code converted function and compiled function, it can exchange data between PC and target board, also can monitor state.2.Aiming at function of generating code, RTW technology is used and expanded to generate code, so it can be run on embedded Linux system. In order to realize function of code compilation and data exchange, application software is designed in Windows environment. The software can also monitor the running state.3.In order to satisfy the requirement of real time performance when program is runnig on the board, high precision timer is introduced from the angle of the user space. From the angle of the kernel space, Linux kernel structure is also introduced. Through changing memory management, interrupt mode and process scheduling strategy to improve the real-time performance of the kernel; and operating system is cut properly to make its operation more efficient and stable.A simulation circuit is built to verify simulation system performance with DC motor object in the end, and the result is analyzed in this paper. It is by tests that embedded semi-physical simulation system has correctness performance.
