After the opium war in 1840, western powers opened China’s door by ship gun, at the same time, China reduced to a semi-colonial and semi-feudal society step by step, as the national crisis deepened, domestic people from all walks of life gradually realized the importance of education in the early twentieth century, and try to improve the national consciousness to achieve the objective of the country rich and powerful through the revitalization of the new-style education.Founded in 1906,the Shengjing Times gave more attention to the education reform with its keen eyes on the New Deal happened in the northeast China.In this paper,the author intend to explore the Shengjing Times how to focus on the education reform in northeast China and the characteristics of the education reform reflected in the reports through combing the content of the education reform in the new period.The first chapter tells of the educational background and main content.of the New Deal in the late of Qing, The second chapter narrates Shengjing Times reported that the Northeast Education New Deal,which is divided into three areas, namely the Constitution of legislation, education and school education important figures reported. The third chapter of the Shengjing Times reported on the Northeast Education Policies tendency, showing the concept of education outreach, advocacy measures universal education, emphasizing the importance of moral education, to promote Japan to study these four aspects. By finishing fourth chapter Shengjing Times Northeast Regional Education New Deal reported and evaluated.The Shengjing Times showed the education reform in northeast China by the public platform, which reflected the Qing government used state machinery to strengthen the national identity, at the same time it showed foreign medias focused on the reform of China’s modernization process. From those reports, it reflects the inadequate and progress of the education reform and enriches the study of education modernization in northeast China.
