| With the wide application of Internet technology, trend of various services are based on the grouping of IP technology. In order to achieve broadband IP services flexible dispatching, providing flexible network protection and recovery mechanisms, transmission network need not only to provide high-capacity bandwidth to meet the demand for broadband services, but also provide the full functional operations and management(OAM) capabilities. OTN equipment combine the advantages of SDH and WDM, having powerful operational management capabilities, flexible dispatching and protection of large capacity service to solve the problem that SDH equipment can’t handle large capacity service. As the main artery of national economy, railway plays an important role in China’s regional and national integrated transport system. At present, transmission insufficiency and technical limitation have appeared in the railway communication transmission network, regardless of the backbone layer or the access layer. Partial transmission systems need urgent upgradation and transformation because they adopted MSTP, SDH and low-speed OTN technology in early years. In the future, OTN equipment will introduce a higher rate interface. Currently,100G OTN have been deployed in railway and China Mobile has been conducting 400G OTN equipment testing.With the massive deployment of OTN in railway, the joint networking of OTN network and existing railway network is becoming increasingly important. The interconnection of multi-manufacturer OTN network, OTN and SDH joint networking protection as well as OTN and IP data joint networking protection have become the focus of research. The joint networking of OTN, SDH and IP data network can optimize the network structure and improve the network bandwidth utilization. The main contents and results are as follows:(1)The advantages and disadvantages of various technologies are analyzed comprehensively and in detail by comparing 100G OTN technology and currently wide-used technologies in railway such as SDH and low-speed OTN.(2)Due to the fact that optical network equipment of different manufacturers can’t interoperate in present railway optical transport network, the key technologies of 100G OTN equipment interconnection in different manufacturers have been studied and interoperability solutions based on ODUk interface, service SDH, IP data network service have been proposed, with the interoperability testing experiment conducted and the testing data analyzed. What’s more, according to the actual demand of OTN smoothly upgrading, a variety of joint networking protection strategies such as different OTN network model, SDH network and IP data network have been proposed, building an experimental environment for testing and analyzing the testing data. The specific protection scheme is given targeting different network types, which provides an important theoretical basis for the optimization of OTN network structure and the development of the scheme. Also, this paper makes a thorough research on the joint networking technology, network protection and safety issues, putting forward the joint networking protection schemes and comparing them. |
