The regional image is simply the feeling or impression of a region which is a comprehensive reflection of the political,economic and cultural situation in a certain area. It represents the strength of regional soft power which can focus on the core competitiveness of local areas.Regional image has become an important symbol to measure the competitiveness of a region. The creation of the regional image has therefore become an important strategy for regional development. Local policymakers are increasingly concerned about the problem of how to shape and spread the local image.According to the need of regional image propaganda work,the documentary is one of the main products of culture and the mass media dissemination way. More and more were used for regional image communication.In recent years Shanxi Province was labeled as ’heavy pollution’ ’corruption collapse mode’by a series of negative effects.
