| Mechanical design is a key section during Notebook R&D phase. For Notebook, mechanical design including ID of computer housing, inner structure design of computer housing, inner strengthen ME part design such as bracket, moving ME part design such as hinge, inner electric part design such as antenna, inner auxiliary parts design such as al foil, mylar.With development of computer soft and hard ware, CAE/CAD development and application have been raised very much, and have become more and more important applicate software. CAD is used to design 2d/3d model of product construction, CAE is used to achieve movement simulation and perform simulated destructive test on designed product, so that the designer can gain optimized design parameter and evaluate if the product is up to related standards in early stage of design.CAD/CAE are combined in product construction design, which finish R&D of concrete product while forming technical solution in early stage of product, and mainly focusing on concrete product design to verify the reasonability and efficiency of technical solution, so it can raise design reliability, reduce R&D duration, and make R&D cost down.This article studied mechanical design of Notebook display module, designed housing module follow customer’s requirement using Pro/E, confirmed housing thickness by experience; then simulated complete machine drop test using ANSYS to verify if the housing thickness is up to reliability request, so that the reasonable housing thickness can be determined, meanwhile, confirmed reasonable position of hinge axis by using Pro/Mechanism motion simulation; then designed detailed structure by using Pro/E, such as housing inner structure, hinge structure, inner parts bracket and antenna, auxiliary parts as al foil and mylar; then used Pro/Mechanica to analyze force and verify strain for hinge, to confirm reasonable hinge structure.At the end, reliability test was performed to new designed concrete machine, then structure design was improved and optimized against the tested issue, till met initial request of design, finished task of new Notebook project, provided strong reference for similar Notebook display module mechanical design. |
