Up-Converting Phosphor Technology (UPT) is a new detection technique and uses Up-Converting Phosphor (UCP) as the core. UPT makes more rapid detection become possible. This technique has high sensitivity, flexibility, stability and safety. UPT shows significant potential in biotechnology, medical drugs and food testing markets.This thesis designed a new multi-channel detection system of up-conversion phosphor by using photoelectric detection and mobile computing. This system can detect several samples at the same time by high-performance image processing ability of smart phone. The main characteristics of the detection system are as follows:(1) The optical splitter was designed to convert single exciting light to multiple exciting light. The detection system can activate a number of up-conversion samples by optical splitter at the same time. A sample array pool was made from slide glass as substrate, can carry several up-conversion samples at the same time.(2) The CMOS camera is used as imaging sensor to obtain the fluorescence signal of multiple up-conversion samples at the same time. The application software; of multi-channel up-conversion fluorescence detection is developed by the smart phone. The application software can receive and process the image of the CMOS camera to obtain the concentration of every up-conversion samples. The detection results was saved in the local database of the smart phone.Finally, multiple detection experiments showed that the multi-channels up-conversion fluorescence detection system has high stability and linearity and it can simultaneously capture, stimulate and detect multiple up-conversion samples at the same time.
