Three-dimensional oral cavity visualization becomes an essential part in dental medicine. Because it can see the teeth condition of damaged parts for the patient in the site of 360 degree. The doctors commonly choose this method that is simple and easy to operate to examine and treat their patients. At present, the rapid development of oral cavity has already entered a new field of using the advancement by computer technology. Because of the important status of the oral cavity in the clinical, three-dimensional oral cavity will eventually become a reserch hotpots. This paper focuses on spatial visualization of the point cloud in the surface of denture, including removing nosing points, accurate positioning, refinement and three-dimensional reconstruction and so on.The characteristics of the point cloud data for the denture mainly are analyzed. According to the requirements of practical application, the paper focuses on the technology of the point collection, pre-processing and reconstruction of the free-form surfaces. According to the reconstruction method of NURBS surface, it is not only can improve the speed for product model reconstruction, but also can reduce the difficulty of processing. The NURBS surface model reconstruction can be improved by the basis of MFC. The Windows Vista is platform for research and development. The VC++6.0 is development environment. The three-dimensional reconstruction system is developed by Open GL.In the latter part of this paper, according to the VC++ platform in Windows7, the class libraries of wxWidgets, and Vcglib and Open GL, the three-dimensional visualization system of denture point cloud are built. In this system, it can not only realize the functions of pre-processing of point cloud and reconstruction, but also test various related data. In summary, this system has perfective, high precision and rapid response. In addition, the stability and accuracy of this system can be controlled within an expected range.
