| Since reform and opening, Chinese television art has developed rapidly with the increasing channels, the varies contents, the abundant types of channels and the renewed forms. Among all these new changes, the variety show, a new kind of art form, is loved by the masses. A great number of TV workers’ efforts make the branded variety shows become the favorites of television art in the new period.From the beginning of variety show till now, it goes through such these three period as the rapid development period, the buffer period and fast-track development period. Owing to the reason that it is more and more popular with audience, the variety show becomes the key point for its development from CCTV to local TV.Many TVs introduce outstanding variety shows from abroad to enrich its content,innovate its form, improve its quality, build its brand on the background of globalization. At the beginning, these introduced variety shows are popular due to its freshness. However, because of cultural barriers and other object factors, the audience’s favorite to the variety show is declining. In order to build its own variety show brand and to guarantee audience rating, the localization of variety shows becomes the key point.It is inevitable that there is cultural shock and communication between the Chinese and Western variety show and localization is the destination of cutural development for the variety show in China, so the localized reconstruction of the variety show works as the research object. There are four parts in this paper. Part one raises the question, describes the current situations of the introduction of variety show and the cultural shock between Chinese and Western variety show, which is the foundation of the connotation of the localization and points out that localization is the own way to innovate on the basis of the definition of localization. Part two does deep analysis on the key points on the progress of localized reconstruction of Chinese variety and explains the situations and orientations of localized reconstruction. Part three summarizes and discusses the current situations of localized reconstruction of the Chinese variety from these three aspects:the target of life,the cultural pursuit of fashion-orientation and the art of landscape. Part four points out that the main problems of the reconstruction of variety show’s localization and puts forward the essential strategies to solve these problems on the basis of the above discussions. |
