Recently with the help of the development in radio network technology and mobile communication technology, more and more people aware of the need in Location-based Services. Based on this, for real-time tracking of moving objects is very necessary. However, regardless of China’s BeiDou Navigation Satellite System or GPS systems can only be used in an outdoor environment. To seek a high precision, low cost and low latency algorithm which can be used in indoor location is a hot research topic. This paper analyzes a fusion of indoor location algorithm based on ZigBee technology. This algorithm makes a great improvement from some existed general ZigBee indoor location algorithm in positioning precision and time delay. The algorithm makes a effective increment in algorithm accuracy and reduce the complexity of positioning, thereby reducing latency.The main research work is as follows:(1)Analyze the two main categories of wireless location algorithm based on ZigBee technology, and make a thorough comparison on performance of various positioning algorithm. Ranging algorithm has high accuracy, but the system cost is also high; and non-locating algorithm with low-cost is more suitable for large-scale networks, since its easy deployment without additional equipment.(2)By combining the characteristics of various types of traditional ZigBee sensor network localization algorithm, an adaptive localization algorithm is proposed which is not restricted to a positioning environment. Because when make a deployment of ZigBee localization sensor network, the algorithm can obtained oneness signal and distance matrix effectively, these has no need to configure the environment too much. Meanwhile, the localization algorithm takes into account the various environmental factors, so the algorithm has a strong adaptability.(3)The adaptive algorithm can be obtained with certain instability in all experiments, and high dependence on the beacon nodes. Therefore combining the advantages of APIT algorithm, a further new fusion of indoor location algorithm proposes which make integration of APIT indoor localization algorithm and adaptive indoor location algorithm based on ZigBee. In contrast to conventional indoor location algorithm based on ZigBee, the precision of fusion positioning algorithm improves greatly, and compares to APIT algorithm the complexity and delay reduces greatly.(4)Use the IRIS XM2110 ZigBee wireless sensor node to build positioning system, and authenticate the accuracy and positioning delay of the adaptive algorithm.
