| With the continuous improvement of human living standards, the development of an ageing population has become a global trend. At present, our country has entered the ageing society, and the old people’s health and safety issues become the focus of social attention. Because of the caducity and hypofunction, the probability and frequency of falls accident is very high among the elderly. The current China’s empty nest family proportion continues to grow, so the elderly cannot receive the care of their children at home. According to the analysis, the fall accident becomes the main factor threatening the safety of the elderly life. Fall accident can cause fractures, heart attacks and other serious consequences, if without timely rescue, it is likely to endanger the safety of the elderly life. Therefore, it is very important to rescue the elderly in time after fall accident.At present, the university, scientific research institutions and companies have developed some fall detection systems. These systems have realized the fall detection function to a certain extent and have the certain scope of application. But there are still many problems to be solved. Nowadays, with the development and progress of science and technology, people more and more concerned about health problems, especially the old man’s health problems. Therefore, it is necessary to do further research about fall detection system, in order to design and implement of the universally applicable, strong functional system to benefit of human society.On the basis of analyzing the related work about fall detection and considering the practicality and cost of the system, this paper designed a novel wearable fall detection system based on multi sensors, which can monitor the elderly daily movement status in real time. When fall accidents occur, it will alert and send the help message with accurate position to the guardian, so that the elderly can be rescued making the harm to the elderly by the fall to a minimum. Through experimental analysis, the fall detection system designed in this paper has low false positives and false negatives but has very high accuracy and reliability. The work of this paper solve the problem of the elderly daily health and safety, and has a high research value and practical significance to construct a human-oriented harmonious society. |
