Automated testing is developing rapidly, the research for automated testing in our country is in infancy, while it has already existed some matured theoretical basis abroad. Domestic research for automated testing mainly learned from some foreign theory, which are mature. Our research develops slowly because of information’s not disclosed and less exchange between industries. Automated testing has a huge advantage in improving test efficiency and fault tolerance.Ultra-wideband copper has a large number of users in our country even global, compared to optical fiber it has irreplaceable advantages in some ways. The latest modulation mode can make the bandwidth of ultrafast band copper reach 1G, which can meet the user’s needs for a long period of time. As for the ultra-broadband copper to put into practical use, the testing in copper access plays an important role. Now the test is mainly done by hand, it is not only inefficient, but also easily produces errors due to human reason. Automated test has not been valued in a very long period of time due to high input costs.Due to the increase in the volume of business for XDSL test as well as the requirements for low error rates for the access network test recently, it becomes a concern that how to improve testing methods to improve efficiency and error rate for access network testing. By applying automated test in access network testing, the efficiency and error rate test of access network test will get a corresponding improvement as high efficiency and low error rate of automated testing. In this thesis, a software test system for ultra-broadband copper access was designed and implemented by learning from some of the best theory. Computer language ruby selected as system body language, impeller as test tool which invented by Huawei. Meanwhile the structure of the system is described in detail in this thesis, as well as the process of the writing of test scripts. Through the comparing of centralized test by the system and the general GUI testing method verified the performance of the system.By the implementing of the ultra broadband copper wire access automatic software test system the degree of automation ha s a very big promotion than other test method before, at the same time, the test efficiency and fault tolerance rate also get a corresponding improvement. It is verified the system has a strong engineering application value.
