| ITS is called for short of Intelligent Transportation Systems, The topic of ITS is studying and widespread concern in the filed of general transportation. The vehicle detection and vehicle tracking is the basis of intelligent transportation system. With the development and progress of computer science and technology, there are many algorithms which are related to vehicle detection and tracking appear.The defects and deficiencies of vehicle detection and trace algorithms are compared and analyzed in the paper, the research content of three aspects are researched in the following:(1) In stage of the vehicle detection, this paper proposes a vehicle detection algorithm based on fixed window. Firstly, the algorithm establishes a fixed window for each pixel to reduce the computation of background update; secondly, speed of background update is controlled by the length of the window. At last, the result shows that the method can detect complete vehicle.( 2) For eliminating shadow problems, the paper proposes a method which combines improved automatic marking with OSTU double threshold grayscale enhance for removing vehicle shadow. Firstly, pixel compression and release are used to improve automatic labeling algorithm; secondly, the area are segmented by OSTU double threshold image segmentation are enhanced in different gray levels; at last, we get the vehicles without shadow by background subtraction algorithm.(3) For vehicle tracking and the speed estimation, the paper proposes a target tracking algorithm which uses the feature of the center of mass. The paper separate vehicles based on chain code difference, for subsequent foreground mask, this paper chooses extract feature to realize moving target trace, and then the article give two kinds of speed estimation method existing in literature are applied in the speed estimation. |
