Design And Implementation Of The Personal Video Recorder System Based On MSD6488 Digital TV

In recent years, in the world’s major television broadcast area, due to the rapid progress of digital storage technology, analog TV has basically been replaced by digital television, at the same time, the PVR functions(Personal video record), and gradually by the people chase after hold in both hands, and the combination of both digital TV and PVR can bring a better user experience. Digital technology in the storage compression technology to combine in digital TV for personal video recording system, real-time broadcast television program recording stored to disk storage, allows users to get rid of the real-time broadcast time limit, independent arbitrary watch TV programs. In this project, research the design and implementation of personal video recorder system based on MSD6488 digital TV.Firstly, in-depth analysis of the digital television, software and hardware platform,then analysis digital TV TS stream and the principle of digital TV TS playback and recording principle, then expound on the function of personal video recorder, and deeper analysis the function module of operation control, including suspension, resumption and time shift function and PVR fast forward and rewind playback module.Design and implementation of PVR recording function. First make construction the recording follow, describe about the operation process in detail;then analysis PVR basic function, focuses on the research of structure function; then through random sample and questionnaire survey to obtain user requirements, then design the following kinds of recording : timing and quick record time shift. Design and implementation of PVR playback function. The first step is to clear operation process of the function,a brief introduction to the operation method, expound the implementation process. The second step is to design he basic function of the function module, and solve the audio may not synchronize with video which may appear in the process of playing. The third part is to solve problems that may encounter during the trick play and time shifting broadcast,make an investigation and according to the results, completed for the design of this part function and the data structure, depend on the conditions to determine the the state is time shift or not, then call the corresponding function, finish record and play function. Base on the similar method, PVR timing function is actually based on the above function,the additional build function to achieve. By create additional functions, it is able to meet the user’s time record requirement.According to the requirement of users, the author research the basic function of PVR module in digital TV. This module is the prerequisite for the user to watch thedigital broadcast program at any time. This function has been used as the standard configuration function of digital TV and has been popularized and applied in the market, so it can improve the market share of digital TV.
