With the gradual deepening of Education Reform and the development of Continuing Education in colleges, the enrollment for students is expending step by step now. Followed by increasingly fierce competition, the battle for the enrollment will be inevitable. It’s well-known that student is the most important factor in colleges. So how to use the past information to provide decision support and to meet the increasingly competition in enrollment management is a pressing problem placed in front of schools of Continuing Education.The arrival of the era of Big Data makes people pay more and more attention to the value of Information and the importance of the Data Warehouse is also slowly being recognized. Data Warehouse is a new data processing system and it can organize and manage data from the perspective of decision-making, combined with online analytical processing and data mining, in forming a decision-making support system.In this research, all of the data was based on the enrollment and daily student management data of a school of continue education from 2010 to 2013 academic years. Also, Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) and data mining, which based on Data Warehouse technique, had been widely employed from the perspective of application to automatically find out and statistically analyze these data. The contents are as follows:Firstly, closely surrounding the subject of the student enrollment decision analysis, the student data warehouse was designed reasonably through using the conceptual, logical, physical models from three layers. In the meantime, it was extracted and established from different systems by transformation, cleaning, loading.Secondly, the student enrollment data warehouse had been comprehensively analyzed in a prediction of intuitive way via on-line analytical processing technique, which mainly focused on their enrolment information such as their degrees, ages, major’ choices, the quality of students sources etc.Thirdly, three kinds of data mining ways:Cluster Analysis, Decision-tree Analysis, Correlation Analysis, also had been employed for students data mining, also been used to find their relationships of the year of enrollment, academic levels, grades, degrees, and register rates etc. among different correspondence centers which affiliated to the school of continue education.In the end, according to the results of the on-line analytical processing and data mining, the enrollment suggestions and strategies for enrollment management decision-making reference had been offered through acquisition, analysis, evaluation and comparison from these results.This research reveals the evidence that the data warehouse and the application technique can play an important role in the enrollment decision for the school of continuing education. It can dig out some potential, supportive and valuable information and rules during recruiting students for school of continue education from the society. Hereby, from these information and rules, the admission departments can set the enrollment plan scientifically, take the reasonable recruitment strategy, guide the enrollment work via effective propaganda, thus improve the rate of enrollment and the quality of students, at the same time, stimulate the registering rate. It attaches great importance to the school of continuing education on expanding the school scale and improving their teaching quality.
