The Design And Implementation Of Songyuan City Center Hospital Medical Management System

Hospital, as one of the fundamental service sectors, helps to ensure a normal and orderly operation of our society. With people’s growing demand for their own health and the strengthening public awareness of sub-health resulted from fast-paced life, the annual reception capacity of hospital takes on a rising trend. In an information-based society, computer network and internet play a more and more important role, whose core database technology is transforming the management mode in all fields; therefore, the traditional hospital management is faced with great challenges. Modernization of hospital management system is badly needed and a deepening reform is approaching. Only when we adopt a computerized and informationalized management system, can we realize a standardized, normalized, systematized and scientific management. As long as the computer-based modernized management is employed, hospital can keep up with the development of the society.This feasibility study is based on a survey of the current management practice of hospitals, on analyses of the present situation of hospitals both at home and abroad, and on analyses of various data. The development of a management system for the hospital, based on an architecture of C/S(Client/Server)aims to improve the management level of the Central Hospital of Songyuan and its service efficiency and quality as well, so that a new era of the development of the hospital will be ushered in. This study offers a convenient and efficient management system so as to advance the management system of the hospital and to speed up its informationalied and digitalized process.The designed management system of the hospital is a general purpose system open to small-scale hospitals, which covers all the main functions of the hospital and the major links of the medical consultation for patients and which reflects the management concepts of the hospital and the working experience of all departments and the latest computer technology. The present management system introduced near the end of the 20 th century cannot meet the demand of current management because it has overburdened both the medical workers and management staff for a long time. A good efficient computer-based management system is a necessity to boost the competitiveness of the hospital and to keep up with the trend of the information age. This new system, which is characterized by low price, high expandability and convenient management, can meet the requirement of the development of the hospital at present and in the near future and help the hospital step up on the track of the new information age.
