| The image acquisition system has been widely used in industrial inspection, medical detection, security monitoring, etc. And with the rapid development of science and technology, the application of image processing system will be more widespread. The traditional PC-based image acquisition system has more function, complex structure and larger volume, so the system acquisition rate is not high, and consume more power, which does not apply to industrial inspection. In order to improve the rate of image acquisition and meet the high real-time, low false detection rate, low-cost, this paper has designed an embedded image acquisition system based on GigE Vision camera. The system includes camera enumeration part, camera control section, image data acquisition part, image data transmission and image display on the PC. How to build image acquisition hardware system under SOPC and how to achieve the software development of GigE Vision interface under NIOS II are mainly studied in the paper. In order to ensure system running efficiently and steadily, the paper has also conducted a relevant study of GigE Vision interface under VS2008. The last part of the paper is comparison test of the image system, analysis the encountered problems and given solutions. The integration test results show that the system can efficiently complete the realtime communication, camera control, image acquisition, image transmission and other functions. Although there is image loss phenomenon as the system operating at high frame rate, frame loss rate is not higher than 1%, while the frame loss rate is almost zero as the system working at low frame rate. Meanwhile, the image acquisition faster than PC-based system nearly 4.5 tiroes, which meets the need of the system design. The system can be used in different industries, such as tobacco detection industry, food production and processing industry, machinery manufacturing and processing industry, etc. so the system has a high value in engineering, and also conducive to promoting the development of industrial automation. |
