Study On 3D Reconstruction Techniques Of Human Bone Tissue For 3D Printing

Medical 3D reconstruction plays an important role in clinical medicine. With the development of medical science, medical 3D reconstruction has been widely used in clinical diagnosis, prosthesis surgery and cosmetic surgery. The subject of human bone tissue of 3D reconstruction is a part of the artificial limb surgery. The 3D model, which is the bone tissue for the man, can be processed by 3D printing. It can be directly used in surgical operation.This paper analyzed the composition of DICOM and BMP format, researched how to convert DICOM to BMP format and extract the file header information of DICOM. This paper analyzed the method of median smoothing, Gauss smoothing, Laplace sharpening and USM sharpening.This paper studied some image processing operations, such as the ROI operation, dilation and erosion. There are two methods for image segmentation. Because the image is various, we can’t segment the image successfully only by single method. So, with the combine of threshold segmentation and contour extraction, we can solve the problem easily. In order to better image processing, I studied automatic threshold segmentation algorithm and the intelligent contour extraction algorithm based on conditions. Through these two types of image segmentation algorithm, the 3D reconstruction system can improve the applicability of segmentation for different images.Based on the defect of image segmentation, the defect repair algorithm of image is studied and realized by programming. The defect contour of the image can be repaired more flexibly by adjusting the parameter.The research used the VTK visualization toolkit to reconstruct the 3D model and preserve it as STL format.
