An Empirical Study On The Relation Between Open-end Funds Performances And Their Managers

This article examines the relationship between the personalcharacteristics of open-end mutual fund managers and their performances.The research finds that a fund manager’s performance is positivelycorrelated with the tenure as the manager of the current fund, or theoverall experience as a fund manager, while graduation school cannot beproved to be related to the performance.
