Economic globalization is the most important event in contemporary worldeconomic development history, and multinational corporations are playing vital rolein the process of economic globalization and integration, their investment behaviorand strategy adjustment will be an important impact on the world economy and thehost country. It has been proved by practice that with the development of worldeconomy and the progress of science and technology, multinational companies havebecome the leading role and the core of the world economy, is the most active, themost important forces of economic globalization. We have been in a "you don’t thinkabout globalization, globalization has been thinking about you" world economicenvironment. The postwar world has been in the era of competition between bigcompanies. Multinational companies are not only the main force of the contemporaryworld economy, but also a concentrated reflection of national competitiveness.In the long run, the rise and growing up of multinational companies of China is aninevitable trend, The implementation of Cross-border M&A and integration of globalresources is the inevitable way to make enterprises bigger and stronger. But on thewhole, the present Chinese companies’Cross-border M&A is still in the primary andexploring stage, lack in experience, weak in resource integration capability andcross-cultural management capability,facing many problems and risks in the processof Cross-border M&A. The purpose of this paper is to find out the general law ofCross-border M&A activity by combing through the existing theory of Cross-borderM&A, Combining with international experience and China’s own practice ofCross-border M&A, in order to widen our vision and help Chinese companies find away to solve the problems we are facing.
