Study On Location Selection Of City Teahouse

Teahouse plays an important role in people’s leisure life as an important carrier ofurban leisure life. With the advent of leisure time, the teahouse industry has greatpotentialities. Xiamen has an unique position in the history of China’s tea culture,while it is also a famous tourist and leisure city, so teahouse and leisure merge wellhere. The teahouses of Xiamen in a mass operate well. But there are some teahousesbeing in trouble soon after opening. In addition to the reasons for operating，theinappropriate location selection is also a major cause. Successful location selection isimportant to improve operating results, avoid investment risks, and achieve healthyand sustainable development of the teahouse. So it is necessary to provide scientificsite evaluation method for urban teahouse operators. This paper put forward acomplete teahouse site evaluation index system based on the service industry locationtheory and literature. Through applying BP neural network to the site assessment, theproblems such as multi co linearity in location selection with the method oftraditional regression is solved. It can make location selection methods and modelsricher. By applying well trained teahouse site evaluation model based on the BPneural network in practice, we can provide a scientific location selection method forthe teahouse operators, as well as provide decision making basis for the developmentof teahouse industry, management and urban planning and construction. This paperincludes the following sections:The selection of a Tea house location has a great impact on its operation andmanagement. Its location is significant for its operation achievements, withstandingits investment risks, and the healthy and sustainable development of tea house．Firstly, based on review and analysis of theories both home and abroad, the thesispointed out tow problems. None of theories can guide the location of Teahouseindependently, although there are many location theories there. Therefore, it isnecessary to introduce new methods of location evaluation. Artificial Neural Networkis an interdisciplinary subject, demonstrating its superiority in modeling of complexsystems and issues. As one kind of Artificial Neural Network, BP Neural Network has the characteristics of high-speed computing and learning, with the capacity ofapproximating any nonlinear function theoretically. It is very effective in applicationof forecasting and evaluating, especially under complex decision-making situation.Therefore, this thesis will introduce BP Neural Network into location evaluation ofTeahouse.Secondly, according to the principle of BP Neural Network, the paper proposed theprinciple of the Teahouse location evaluation method based on BP Neural Network,and the location evaluation system of Tea house based on combining of westernlocation theories, factors affecting location improved in related researches and resultsof in-depth interviews. Then, the paper designed the network structure of the locationevaluation model of Tea house, according to the location evaluation system proposedbefore and BP Neural Network theories. Then, the paper put25standardized samplesinto the established network under condition of Matlab2010to train the network, untilit reached the goal.Finally, the paper put these5samples into the network to check it. The resultsshowed that the location evaluation model of Teahouse based on BP Neural Networkis effective, which suggested that it is of practical use in location evaluation of Teahouse.
