In the daily operation of state-owned enterprises, staffs play the role of the soul and the main force, whose initiative mainly depend on the strength of the responsibility at work. In the meantime, the sense of responsibility, which is the core of the ego drive characteristics, determines the state-owned enterprise employees’ engagement and job performance at work, affects the overall quality and cohesion of employees in state-owned enterprises, and ultimately relates to the core competitiveness of state-owned enterprises. Deeply view the current status of state-owned enterprises, however, management problem is caused by employees lack the sense of responsibility and effective management. Improving the efficiency of management to accelerate the modernization process of state-owned enterprise is imminent. Therefore studying on the staff responsible for state-owned enterprises will bring in a profound significance.This research, taking A group as the research object, aims to study three aspects:(1) responsibility structural dimension of A group which belongs to the state-owned enterprise employees;(2) the correlation between sense of responsibility and job performance;(3) the differences on responsibility study under the demography variables among A group staffs. Through literature review, scaling, and empirical analysis methods such as factor analysis, regression analysis, variance analysis, this paper puts forward seven hypothesis of the responsibility and to verify this hypothesis based on analyzing the A Group staffs’ samples of state-owned enterprises staff. The final conclusion basically achieved the purpose of this study. The main conclusions of this paper is as follows:(1) the staffs’ responsibility of A group which belongs to the state-owned enterprise, as a kind of personality traits, has a multi-dimensional structure;(2) the structure of the A group staff’s responsibility includes five dimensions:"unity and helpful","planning and coordination","employee trust","achievement orientation","psychological capital";(3) at the same time, this study verified the job performance with two-dimensional structure;(4) the job performance includes "task performance" and "contextual performance";(5)"unity and helpful","planning and coordination","employee trust","achievement orientation" dimension are positively related to task performance at a significance level. The "unity and helpful","employee trust","achievement orientation","psychological capital" dimensions have significant predictability on contextual performance, and is a positive correlation;(6) demographic variables of work type and education background have a significant difference to the responsibility overall, and a part of the demographic variables on responsibility dimensions also have significant differences.According to this study, A group, as a typical state-owned enterprise, its management has the meaning of enlightening on the state-owned enterprises According to the results of this study, this paper finally puts forward the suggestion on the responsibility management from different human resource function. For the managers of state-owned enterprises and human resources staff in daily work, this study provides new ways of thinking and method, and is also benefit for the development of state-owned enterprises in the future. This suggestion provides a certain reference significance to help state-owned enterprises out of the current plight.
