Yanbian Area Of Tourism Development In The New Period

Tourism is a sunrise industry nowadays. Since the reform and opening-up, with the improvement of people’s living standards, experience of history and culture, folk customs, ecological leisure, sports entertainment, tourism has become a way of life for urban residents, greatly promoting the development of tourism industry, cultural tourism industry has become a colourful spiritual and cultural life as an important content. Yanbian has the advantages of tourism development, located in the Sino Russia border, Eurasian civilization, natural and folk together, known as the "northeast Golden Triangle"; Yanbian area is rich in resources, with perfect tourism products of Yanbian features; has regional autonomy as minority nationalities, the western development, the revitalization of the northeast, Changjitu development, and a number of intentional policies of the state, is an ideal investment choices, Yanbian state has comparative advantage in tourism development. Yanbian tourism industry has experienced the development of the Tumen River, with the regional development and opening up, the Tumen River regional cooperation development advantages are more apparent, Yanbian tourism industry has made gratifying achievements, the status of the tourism industry is increasing, tourism product is becoming more rational, tourism industry service system has begun to take shape. The development of tourism in Yanbian is promoting the economic structure adjustment, promoting the Yanbian domestic and international status, the tourism industry will become the pillar industry of national economy in Yanbian prefecture.However, due to the constraints by natural factors, tourism management system, policy and the neighbouring countries factors adverse conditions, the tourism industry in Yanbian still has problems such as the tourist season, the projects of off-season is insufficient, tourism and infrastructure construction is lagging, lack of culture in commodity design, and tourism enterprises is not strong. Therefore, in this paper, based on the review of Yanbian prefecture’s tourism development and Marxism theory, with the tourism development present situation, summarizes the achievements of Yanbian tourism, to find out the discipline of current development of tourism in Yanbian Prefecture, the factors restricting the development of tourism in Yanbian Prefecture, and puts forward some basic ideas and policy suggestions on the development of tourism industry in Yanbian area.
