Under the trend of economic globalization and the background of worldwide spread,the world’s economic ties increases close and becomes more frequent between them, whilethe country has also undergone significant changes in accounting standards that is morecloser and pronouncer to international standards. Our accounting standards was issued in2006which target is to make current finance position on the basis of financial accountingprincipal report to the fulfillment of fiduciary duty on its decision to provide usefulinformation on the accounting recognition established the concept of the core of thebalance creatively introduced the fair value measurement model and the request foradditional changes in equity in the financial reporting system, fully embodies the idea tothe development of comprehensive income. In this context and implications, the theme ofthis paper is the relationship between the presentation of other comprehensive income andthe quality of accounting information。We aim to analyze and confirm whether the value ofother comprehensive income is useful to investors. And we also hope there is somecontribution and role in regulating our overall earnings report, and complete disclosure theterms of business performance.In this paper, we use the Shanghai A-share market of China’s listed companiesmanufacturing2007-2012data as the target for the study, through two aspects of theimpact of accounting information quality (reliability and relevance) analyzes accountingstandards require the presentation of other comprehensive income impact on the quality ofaccounting information. This paper is divided into six parts, the first part is an introductionthat proposes research background and significance, analyses and evaluates currentresearch. The second part is analyzes of status quo and theoretical explanations to the studyof listed manufacturing companies analyze their presentation and disclosure of the statusquo, while the quality of accounting information, the basic theory are introduced in othercomprehensive income. The third and fourth parts are empirical analysis. We verify the other comprehensive income from both the reliability and relevance of the quality ofaccounting information presentation whether the information gain can improve thedecision usefulness of information users. These two parts select sample at first and then putforward hypothesis, then build the modified Jones model and pricing models, at lastanalysis and evaluate the empirical results. The fifth part is the conclusions andrecommendations. We summarize the results of the empirical analysis and propose somesolutions and measures for an existing presentation and disclosure problems, analysis theshortcomings of the research and looking to the future direction of development. Thisstudy finds that the presentation of other comprehensive income on some extentcontainments the earnings management of listed companies in the manufacturing sector,but fails to enhance the value relevance of accounting information.
