ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system is not only one of the choices formodern enterprises to gain competitive advantage, but also the fastest growing area forcurrent operation system. But compared with the rapid growth of the demand of ERPsystem, its implementation success rate is very low. The purpose of this study is topropose and validate the CSFs (Critical Success Factors) model of ERP system for smalland medium-sized Hi-tech enterprises, and give the effective advices to manage CSFs.Based on various related literatures and references, we choose CSFs theory andsoft systems methodology to construct the theoretical perspectives of ERPimplementation research. Combined with the frequency statistics of CSFs and otherprevious research results, this study proposes a CSFs model of ERP system for smalland medium-sized Hi-tech enterprises, which includes four parts: organizational factor, user factor, external support factor and ERP system success. In the empirical study, we choose nano-technology enterprises in Suzhou as casesto verify the accuracy of the model and summed up the ERP project implementationsuccess experiences and failure lessons. On this basis, this paper gives some effectiveadvices to manage the CSFs, and hope to help small and medium-sized Hi-techenterprises successfully implement ERP systems.
