Research On Application Of ERP System Based On SAP ECC Platform In A&D Manufacturing Industry

Information Technology has achieved great developments in the21st century.Informatization has become one of the essential elements to accomplishindustrialization and an indispensable force to promote enterprise development. Alongwith the developments of Information Technology, Enterprise Resource Planningsystem takes a more and more important part in company management.In the context of above, company A starts to plan, design and implement itsERP system. In this dissertation, we’ll analyze the application situation of SAP ECCsystem in company A, and try to answer two major questions: application systemsolution for Aerospace&Defense industry based on SAP ECC platform. And industryspecific key requirements to application system in A&D manufacturing companies.The goal of this dissertation is to come up with a standard industry system processflow for A&D industry as well as solution specification for industrial systemrequirements.At the beginning of this dissertation, we take a deep dive into the researchsituation and background on this topic, including progresses made by peer companiesor organizations, the meaning and purpose of this dissertation. Then at the second part,SAP Company’s accelerated SAP implementation method is introduced and explained,acting as one of the theory foundations of this research, followed by detailedrequirement investigation and analysis. Then a general introduction to theimplementation of SAP’s basic function modules is presented. Finally, the mostimportant chapter of this dissertation is introduced with specific and detailed solutiondesign and implementation methods.Through research of the whole implementation process of the ERP system whichis based on SAP ECC platform, this dissertation sketches a comprehensive picture ofa good practice of ERP system in A&D manufacturing company, including bothordinary business processes and industrial specific requirements.
