A Research About The Relationships Between Urbanization And Economic Growth In Western China

Urbanization is a phenomenon of spatial agglomeration with the economic development of human society, is the inevitable product of the development of human society, a country or a region’s level of urbanization and economic development is closely related to the state. The accumulation of capital, scale economy, agglomeration economy, learning effect and the divis ion of labor is the source of urban economic growth, and the cities are learning effect, capital accumulation and the division of labor is the most efficient area, therefore, has become the carrier of urban agglomeration economic growth important space, urbanization has become an important engine of economic growth. For a long time, the relationship between urbanization and economic growth has been widely attention of scholars, which is in the process of urbanization and economic growth in the development of urbanization, it is to promote the development of economic growth, economic growth is the original driving force or urbanization?In order to make a thorough research on these problems, this paper first related literature about urbanization and economic growth are reviewed, and on this basis, through analys is, the relationship between urbanization and economic growth, can be thought of as the process of urbanization to promote economic growth, and the change of demand of production, the process of urbanization brings the level of consumption and factor mobility, can be included in the level of domestic demand and change of industrial structure, urbanization of the transmission mechanism of economic growth mainly reflected in changes in domestic demand and industrial structure. In this paper, considering the effect of spatial factors on economic activity, certainly the urbanization agglomeration effect and spillover effects on economic growth.Then, the paper uses panel data of 12 provinces in the western region of 1985-2012 years, the general regression model between population change and economic growth, industrial town, illustrate the relationship between population urbanization and industrialization urbanization and economic growth, and then through the SEM regression model to illustrate the impact of spillover effects of urbanization in West China on economic growth. The level of urbanization and economic growth in the western region of the relationship between the empirical research in detail.Finally, this paper through the analys is of empirical results summary, and put forward to the people in the construction of new urbanization, promote the coordinated development of inter industry, at the same time, reasonable construction of the city group and other point of view, and puts forward relevant countermeasures and suggestions.
