Empirical Study On The Factors Of China-ASEAN Trade Growth And Trade Patterns

Since the reform and opening up, China’s economic development has made great progress, at the same time, China’s trade has made leaps and bounds, China has gradually evolved into the World Trade Center. In recent years, China and ASEAN signed an agreement to jointly build the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area, after years of business development, China has become the largest trading partner of ASEAN, ASEAN is China’s third largest trading partner, China-ASEAN Free Trade Area is a the world’s largest free trade area in developing countries.For China and ASEAN is concerned, from 2002, China and ASEAN signed the "comprehensive economic cooperation" to the 2010 China-ASEAN Free Trade Area launched a comprehensive, bilateral trade between China and ASEAN has been rapid development. While the rapid development of bilateral trade between China and ASEAN, the share of industry in the China-ASEAN bilateral trade has also increased. In the development of the industry to reduce the economic adjustment costs of trade bilateral trade, expand intra-regional trade, thereby improving bilateral welfare, the paper will be China-ASEAN bilateral trade structure and trade patterns factors research and analysis.For the development of China-ASEAN bilateral trade and influence, academia has been a lot of research. Academia usually comparative advantage theory, regional economic integration theory to explain the reasons for the rapid growth of bilateral trade between China and ASEAN, the use of bilateral trade creation and trade diversion effect is to discuss bilateral trade volume changes and influencing factors. In the empirical study of the characteristics of China-ASEANbilateral trade, the academic world trade gravity model using mainly from empirical point of view to study the factors, as well as bilateral trade potential and the use of different trade indices to examine the analysis of the competitive and complementary bilateral trade sex, examined 2002 China and ASEAN signed the "comprehensive economic cooperation," and in 2010 China-ASEAN Free Trade Area started two important time for China-ASEAN bilateral trade impact.In this paper, the bilateral trade between China and ASEAN trade index data to measure within the China-ASEAN bilateral trade industry, trade level by measuring the degree of inter-industry and intra-industry trade between China and the ten ASEAN countries to analyze bilateral trade between China and ASEAN trading patterns structure for further development of China-ASEAN bilateral trade, optimize trade structure upgrading in China to provide a theoretical and empirical basis.The results found that:from the total point of view, bilateral trade between China and ASEAN in the rapid development in China and ASEAN signed the "comprehensive economic cooperation," and China-still a very significant development after the ASEAN Free Trade Area fully completed, China and ASEAN level of economic development, foreign direct investment levels of bilateral trade from significant role in promoting the geographic distance between China and ASEAN bilateral trade plays a significant impediment; presenting characteristics produce industry trade bilateral trade between China and ASEAN as a whole, From the point of view of different countries, showing strong economic strength of China and ASEAN countries on the characteristics of the production industry’s overall trade, showing the characteristics of inter-industry trade between China and ASEAN as a whole on the overall economic strength of the weaker countries, from the point of view of different industries China and ASEAN countries with stronger overall economic strength in capital and technology-intensive industry has produced the industry’s business characteristics, China and ASEAN countries with weak overall economic strength in labor-intensive industries showing the characteristics of inter-industry trade.Finally, based on the China-ASEAN bilateral trade and trade patterns factors study results, the future development of bilateral trade between China and ASEAN forecast and outlook, and make relevant policies and recommendations.
