A Study Of The Production Cost Control In C Container Terminal Company Based On Customer Loyalty

In recent years, due to negative effects of unrest world economy, the shipping industry is still being downturn. In this situation, many shipping companies have joined in the shipping alliance, which caused to the competition goes increasingly fierce in container terminals. Under the operating pressure, container terminals increased input in customer service to enhance customer loyalty measure and retain customers who may bring more business. As the most important evaluation factor in the service to shipping companies, improving the efficiency is the goal which all container terminals pursue. However, not all efficiency promotion can get a good effect on improving customer loyalty, it may be not enough to be noticeable sometimes, meanwhile, cost was actually paid for it, followed by profits’falling. To balance the service and cost, we need to explore a new cost control method, to keep cost under control according to a reasonable efficiency.This paper take C container terminal company as example, focus on the problem about production cost control such as excessive pursuit of efficiency while neglect the cost control, efficiency management and cost control come apart, treat efficiency and cost in difference on performance evaluation. Based on search of consult a great deal of literature and combined with my years of work experience, suggest a scheme of cost control by designing production cost according to a goal setting of efficiency which was gotten by questionnaire survey. Many analysis method like model method, case study method and quantitative analysis were used to research the relation between efficiency and customer loyalty, the relation between efficiency and production cost, the operating mechanism of this cost control scheme, assessing and incentive mechanism. It includes corresponding details and advises design scheme, provided solutions according to problems in implementation process as well. The mentioned cost control scheme is expected to be a referential value for C container terminal and others in the industry on optimize the cost control and improve management level.
