There were records of tea production at the end of the tang dynasty in Zhenghe, and was the same strain with the famous North garden Gong Cha. In 1115, after Emperor Huizong of Song Dynasty tasted the tribute of white tea by GuanLi county, he appreciated the white tae and changed the name GuanLi to Zhenghe used his reign title. Zhenghe county annals said if tea is thriving, every business is thriving, if tea failure is cut into failure in the republic of China. This real reaction tells us the importan place of tea.There are more than one hundred thousand mu tea gardens in all county, they can produce ten thousand tons in one year and these valued 850 million RMB. The main varieties are baking green tea, white tea, Zhenghe Gong Fu black tea and so on. Tea takes an important place in Zhenghe county’s economy, and farmers income from tea is over 35%. Zhenghe has very rich tourism resources and large development value, there are FoZi Mountian, DongGon Mountian and other national and provincial scenic spots. SiPing opera is called living fossil and is the national nonmaterial cultural heritage preservation. Zhenghe goverment comes up with the goal to make the county into a strong tourism county.Now there is not a standard about tea garden. Generally recognized as the reference of French wine-garden, including tea planting and machining.
