An Empirical Analysis Of The Level Of Chinese Economic Development And Technology Absorption Capacity

Since the neo-classical economists put the technological progress into economic growth and theoretical framework, technological innovation has become the primary driver of economic growth in various regions around the world, especially in developing countries. These countries competing for the implementation of technological innovation strategy is a good example. China is a developing economic powers, innovative technologies in promoting China’s technological progress and economic growth becomes more and more important. However, due to China’s different regions, provinces in different economic development level, technical level, and the degree of opening of the technology absorptive capacity and other aspects of the differences, the impact of technological innovation or technology progress from all regions of the country are not the same. Therefore, in the context of the international financial crisis, the relationship between the system of regional technology absorptive capacity and the level of economic development in China, to accurately determine the degree of correlation technology absorption capacity and the growth of regional economy, the correct understanding of technology absorption capacity on the regional economic growth mechanism, to improve the economic contribution of technological innovation in China the implementation rate, promote the coordinated development of regional economy, changing the mode of economic growth and China’s "Twelfth Five Year Plan" and the eighteen major innovation driven strategy will have a profound impact.In this study, we start with the relationship between economic development and technological absorptive capacity, on the domestic and foreign technological absorptive capacity theory and economic growth theory of the origin and development are summarized; the connotation of regional technical absorptive capacity are defined; the research status on the regional economic growth and technology absorption were summarized, scholars on the existing differences in findings are summarized; Then, on the basis of hypothesis test, test the model from the market point of view of input and output, and to authorize the partition sorting data in accordance with the patent, the use of Eviews 7.2 and Stata12.0 of 30 provinces in 1993-2013 R&D funding, patents and technology market were analyzed, to pay the amount of data and indicators the GDP causality test and the threshold effect test, the results are as follows:(1) R&D, patents and technology market turnover has a significant positive effect on regional economic growth; (2) there is a certain degree of two-way causal relationship between economic development level and technology absorption capacity; (3) the absorptive capacity of the different level of economic development of the region has obvious "treadmill" phenomenon; (4) development the level of economic and technology absorptive capacity has obvious threshold characteristic; (5) economic development level of technology transfer, technology absorption ability to adhere to the system should. Finally, through discussing the results of the study put forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions, and digs out the development level of economy and technology absorptive capacity on the relationship between the reality of economic policy and innovation of science and technology policy implications for China’s provinces, the regional science and technology funds use efficiency improve the absorption capacity and technology, and provides reference to promote economic growth.
