The wheat market is fundamental in any economy because wheat is the pillar of food and nutrition. The adequate access to basic food, as wheat, is common sense and should be the first human right. If there is a shortage, it is the whole national economy which will suffer. In a country as China where the population is one of the largest in the world, wheat market is a central question. The food shortage has become a worldwide preoccupation that trade policies are facing. It is not only a national matter but more a global concern because global inhabitant’s number is increasing at a very fast path and it would be a soon issue to solve to be capable to feed everyone. In this optical, every country tries to index its market capacities to the international trade environment. China has reached a stage where the question of the evolution of the agricultural economics is vital because of a fast economic expansion. China has the strong willingness to keep agricultural economics as a main economy in parallel of the growth in the industrial area. Logicallya strategy on a long run needs to be built on the evolution of the Chinese growth. This research concerns the Chinese Wheat market and its trade policy. The goal of this study is to understand the theory of agricultural economics and the principles of endogenous risks in order to model endogenous risks (internal dysfunctions) within the Chinese Wheat market. This particular risks assessment in the Chinese wheat market is a pre-requisite to be able to build a risk management in terms of Chinese wheat trade policy.Hence, this thesis will deliver keys to understand principles of trade policy in order to simulate different scenarios of the Chinese Wheat trade policy and find the most likely and suitable readjustment policy scenario.
