Finance as the core of the economic development, plays an significant role when it promotes the economic development. At the same time,the rural formal finance as a portion of the modern finance, the disparity between the urban finance and the rural finance is becoming more and more deeply at present, under the background of the slow development of the rural economy, what is the role of the rural formal finance play in the development of the rural economy? Therefore, we must analysis the functionary of the rural formal finance in the process of the rural economic development. This article is based on the data of anhui province’s rural formal finance and rural economic development from 2000 to 2012, definited the relationship between the rural formal finance and the rural economic development in anhui province. The specific arrangement of this content is as follows:The first chapter describes the background of this research and the significance of this study, states the aspect of the existed research results both in home and abroad, makes the framework, research ideas.and points out the innovation of this article..The second chapter states the theory of the economic growth, the theory of the rural financial development, the relationship between the financial development and the theory of the economic development, the interact between the rural financial development and the rural economic growth.The third chapter describes the current situation of rural economic development in anhui province at first, then describes the stage of rural formal financial institutions,analyzes the rural formal financial through three indicators (scale, structure, efficiency); At last,the article points out the existing problems of rural formal financial in the process of rural economic development.The fourth chapter analyzes the relationship between the rural formal finance and rural economy through the unit root test, the cointegration test and the granger causality test in anhui province, and gets the conclusion, namely the rural economic development in anhui province has promoting to the anhui rural formal financial.In contrast, the anhui rural formal financial does not also stimulates the countryside economic development.The fifth chapter puts forward to the related some policies and suggestions from the angle of the government, the main formal financial itself and the innovative financial products,which are significant to promote the development of rural economic.
