Rare metal is an indispensable element of modern high-tech development of new energy. And our country is not only the largest producer of rare metals, but also a major exporter. SMEs are the main force of exportation of rare metal products. The author discovered that the price of rare metal continued a downward trend during the internship, so the author hopes to study the factors that affect the price of rare metal products exportation through the perspective of SMEs. This paper is mainly using methods of literature research, investigation methods and comparative analysis. After reading the domestic and foreign literature on the pricing of international trade of rare metal products, to identify the factors affecting the price. Then collected the data relating to international trade of rare metal products after investigation, including the exportation data from my internship company and rare metal products exportation data found on the Internet. Finally, with the method of comparative analysis to analysis and study of existing data, combined with Michael ? Porter’s "Five Forces Model" to identify factors associated with rare metal products exportation price and corresponding countermeasures. First, take the rare metal products exportation data that the author taking from Zhengzhou Chida Tungsten & Molybdenum Co. Ltd as an example, to analysis present situation of SMEs rare metal products exportation in China. Then study the data of the changes of demand of the international market and the data of China’s total supply of rare metal products, research for price changes. Followed by analysis of the rare metal industry about the existing pricing mechanism, found that that the current market price of rare metal exportation mainly relys on five reasons. That first, technical research insufficient, low value-added export products; Second, low industry concentration, weak business negotiations; Third, companies mining method is extensive, serious waste of resources; Fourth, enterprises of excessive competition, serious low price competition; Fifth, enterprises with low smelting technology, serious environmental pollution. The author hopes to give the strategies for promote the export price of rare metal: strengthen the R&D and improve the add value of products, strengthen enterprises autonomy and build enterprise alliance, improve the rate of resource recycling and increase the enterprise revenue, try to do the innovation and make the operation pattern better, improve hardware technology and strengthen pollution control. Only in this way, we can improve the situation of SMEs rare metal products export effectively.
