At present, the economic capital management of commercial banks has been introduced into China for 10 years, China’s banking supervision department also closely follow the revision of the Basel Committee on banking supervision standard, adjust the domestic regulatory requirements, to promote the transformation of China’s commercial banks into modern commercial banks.In this paper, according to China’s regulatory requirements and the latest relevant research, using the methods of theoretical and practical combination of case study, summarizing the successful experience of international advanced banks in the study, taking NY bank as an example, points out the problems existing in the economic capital management concept is not universal, restraint mechanism is not perfect, the stock of assets business process is not reasonable, economic capital management is not in place, the matching performance evaluation mechanism is not perfect, summarizes that the traditional business model has not changed, the economic capital management system construction lag, the economic capital allocation is not scientific, the lack of effective process management support system, the traditional performance evaluation methods are not completely change the the reason. On the economic capital management in NY Bank of comprehensive analysis, put forward to strengthen the management of the concept of economic capital, economic capital constraint mechanism, increase and improve the economic capital optimization adjustment, to further strengthen the process of management, to further improve the evaluation system of economic capital management and Countermeasures of NY bank.
