Chinese Small And Medium-Sized Property Insurance Companies Development Research

With the rapid development of domestic economy and the market gradually opening, the property insurance market continued rapid growth, a large number of new companies enter the market. but the concentration of property insurance market is not significantly lower in recent years, property insurance companies present "polarized" trend:scale and benefit of big companies are both very well; at the same time, a large number of small and medium-sized companies get into trouble. How to improve the development environment of small and medium-sized property insurance companies, promoting the healthy development of small and medium-sized property insurance companies become an important problem of the insurance industry in China.In this paper, the author set the Chinese small and medium-sized property insurance companies as the research object, firstly introducing the development course and the basic situation of Chinese small and medium-sized property insurance companies, and then according to the basic ideas of discovering and solving problems, taking the data of 2012 for sample, analyzing the Chinese small and medium-sized property insurance companies from seven aspects:business development, profitability, cost control, risk, investment capacity, branches and employees, drawing radar map to evaluation the survival status of Chinese small and medium-sized property insurance companies, summarizing common problems of small and medium-sized property insurance companies. Then analyzing the external environment of Chinese small and medium-sized property insurance companies facing from three dimensions: macroscopic environment, industry environment and competitive environment, lastly presenting suggestion to promote the development of Chinese small and medium-sized property insurance companies:Chinese small and medium-sized property insurance companies should find their right position, choose the right competitive strategy, strengthen internal management, improve efficiencies of management, introduces external resources to speed up the development.
