Based on the combination of theory and practice, summarizing Swanson and others’ research in the literature of knowledge discovery method. Researching the domestic and foreign relevant scholars’ achievements and shortcomings of using this method in the field of medical, aerospace and humanities. Introducing and researching the basic theory of patent intelligence analysis and the related knowledge discovery. Searching for the correspondency of relevant theoretical research of them. To explore the feasibility of the theoretical level for the method of latent knowledge discovery which based on the unrelated patent documentation. And indicating the significance of this study. By means of analyzing the artificial simulation instance process, discussing the maneuverability of this method. For building the analysis system of potential knowledge correlation of patent document and analyzing its feasibility, this paper introduces and studies the key technologies including the Chinese automatic word segmentation of patent literature and the filter technology for word for its feasibility.By using the existing technology and the analysis method to analyze the possibility of model building scheme. Based on the above theory research, the living example and the technical analysis, this paper summarizes he purpose and meaning of this method. To build the system framework model of latent knowledge discovery of unrelated patent documentation, introducing and analyzing its working process and working requirements. Discussing the processing and the requirements of this framework model’s four subsystems: pretreatment system, vocabulary management system, automatic word segmentation system, vocabulary filtration system.
