In recent years, with the fast growing of Mobile internet, the whole industry environment has been importantly altered.The cross-domain competition between different segments has become a common phenomenon. Telecom operators, terminal manufacturers, OS makers and internet companies are all extending their business up and downstream. Although, in this process, telecom operators are still having the advantages on channel, network and payment, they are losing their dominant position which they have in the traditional telecom industry chain. The traditional role of the telecom operators in the industry chain is facing more and more competitions, the new role is still exploring.This article first states the mobile internet industry chain, industry environment, industry structure, current status and developing strategy of market participants China, analyses the competitive environment between telecom operators. Secondly, this article analyses the current status of three main Chinese telecom operators, China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom, summaries the problems they were facing in the market and the reasons. Finally, based on the above discussions and foreign telecom operators targeting type, this article points out the target of Chinese telecom operators and gives the key points to implement.This article researches the targeting problem of traditional telecom operators in mobile internet era using PEST method, Five Force Model, corporate DNA, etc. it would provide some reference values to the operators to develop strategies in the new competitive landscape. |
