| Energy is not only the foundation of national economic development and social activities, but also the reason of environmental pollution. In China, the mode of economic growth which is based on high consumption of energy is always so extensive that leads the problem of Energy Restriction. In China, we have to pay more attention to the environmental problem caused by energy consumption in view of the large-scale outbreak of haze in2013. Dealing with the relationship between the resources and the environment is directly related to sustainable development in China. To solve the energy problems by international market supply in China which is a major energy consumer. It is impractical. The most effective way to alleviate the contradiction between energy supply and demand as well as the stress of environmental protection is to improve energy efficiency. The level of energy efficiency in China is low and the spatial distribution also reflects the unbalanced development. Which indicates that there is more room in improving energy efficiency in China. The previous research has shown that strengthening regional exchanges is helpful to improving the energy efficiency level. This paper focuses on quantifying this exchange among regions in China and analyzing its influencing factors.Firstly, the paper builds the model of spatial interaction on energy efficiency based on the commonly used model through the theory of spatial interaction and energy efficiency. Secondly, measures and calculates the spatial interaction of energy efficiency between2001and2011, using the previous spatial interaction model. Thirdly, this paper studies influencing factors of spatial interaction on energy efficiency in China. At last, corresponding recommendations are put forward to improve energy efficiency in China. The main conclusions of this paper are drawn as follows:(1) This paper quantifies spatial interaction on energy efficiency in China, using the basic model of spatial interaction and the date based on the DEA method. The result which is analyzed by inverse distance weighting method shows that there is a trend of increasing year by year about spatial interaction on energy efficiency in China, which is characterized with regional disequilibrium from east to west.(2) The paper uses spatial econometrics methods to study the influencing factors of spatial interaction on energy efficiency in China. The results show that strengthening technological exchanges, improving the market level and reinforcing the traffic infrastructure construction can intensify spatial interaction on energy efficiency, which can make contributions to the further development of energy efficiency in China. |
