Analysis Of Construction Land Expansion And It’s Driving Forces In The Downtown Area Of Nanyang

Chinese economy had been in an active development since the early 1990 s. In this period, the large-scale constructions of development area and a series of the complete infrastructure, together with the generating convergence effect, promotes gradually the economy development of Nanyang which is a second-tier city. However, for the economic core of our country changing to coastal region since the reform and open, Nanyang, a city located in central China and being far away from provincial capital, its development of urbanization was relatively slow. In the early 21 th century, our nation attached more importance to the Middle-Part economy development.With the rise of Middle Area and development of Central Plains Economic Region, Nanyang had got a further economy development and began to step into urbanization. Nanyang known as world granary is an important city for Chinese grain supply; therefore its urbanization must be prudent and scientific. This paper concludes Nanyang’s expansion characteristics and tries to solve the problems existing by the methods of spatial analysis of its urbanization expansion in the past 20 years. And it also includes the main impetus of economic development of Nanyang and explores the relation among these driving forces. Combing the urbanization expansion characteristics, the paper aims at promoting the urbanization of NanYang more rapidly and scientifically by putting forward some advices under the sustainable development of optimization configuration perspective, contributing to the dynamic monitoring of urban land expansion for the optimal allocation of land resources scientifically.The paper includes four parts. The first one summarizes the notion of urbanization, urban expansion and the research methods, and analyzes related theories and models of urban land expansion mechanism in order to assure the combination of theory and practice.The second one firstly makes the data collection, covering remote sensing image data of Landsat TM in 1990, 2000 and 2010, then extracts land-use information data of NanYang in the three times using ERDA9.0 and ArcGIS10.0 soft, and draws land-use map to analyze dynamic change features of land expansion in NanYang from 1990 to 2010. Meanwhile, this part analyzes temporally area change, pace and intensity of expansion and annual dynamic change rate to acquire expansion characteristics of NanYang in the past 20 years, and spatially summaries features of the main expansion direction, expansion core and urban land-use intensity and so on. Finally it makes a Comprehensive comparative analysis the land-use change of this city.The third section is comparative analysis of driving force mechanism model method in order to choose the suitable models and methods and build appropriate index system. This part also concluded the main driving factors via the analysis of driving force mechanism of urbanization expansion combining data collected and fits the function relation among the related main factors for the purpose of urban sprawl evolution prediction.The forth section puts forward corresponding suggestions and presents innovations and disadvantages of this paper.
