Agriculture has always been occupying an important position in economic development of Xinjiang. Generally speaking, economic development and social stability are largely influenced by steady and healthy of agriculture, as well as the income level of farmers and herdsmen. With the increasing development, Xinjiang agriculture has had some competitive agricultural products at home and abroad for many years, at the same time, income level of households also increases steadily. However, the strong demand for money of farmers still fails to effectively be met by financial institutions, so the phenomenon of structural imbalances both financial supply and demand sides usually happens. Nowadays, Xinjiang is in the transition of agriculture transformation period, therefore the research on borrowing of different peasant households does not only enrich and perfect the study for relevant household financial problems, but also provide realistic reference support for the rural financial supply and demand imbalances in other areas basing on demand of farmers.First of all, it made a analysis on the current situation and existing problems of rural financial service for farmers in Xinjiang. Secondly, a research on borrowing behaviors characteristics of different types of farmers was conducted on the basis of a questionnaire survey about 784 households of 10 counties in Xinjiang. The results shows that the main loaner were middle-aged people whose age were between 36 and 50.In addition the borrowing rate of households will be higher when the educated level, the planting scale, income, and the level of development are higher. Then, it used a empirical model to analyze the influence factors of borrowing behaviors. The results showed that labor and areas had significant negative correlation with borrowing behaviors of peasants, as well as the types of economic activities and cooperative, while culture degree and the planting scale had significant positive correlation with the farmer credit behavior.Besides, basing a further model research on different areas,it suggested that the land planting scale was significantly related to credit behaviors of farmers in the three regions, the agricultural professional cooperatives had a significant positive influence in undeveloped areas and negative influence in others.Income of households significantly affected the credit credit behavior both developed region and undeveloped region, only in developed region can the cultural level of households be significantly positively impacting borrowing behaviors of farmers. And the age and labor had a negative impact on borrowing behaviors in less developed areas. Finally, it gave some suggestions, such as imporving the level of education, expanding the financing channels, innovativing financial products, building a wisdom financial information platform.
