| The domestic economic is undergoing transformation and updating. As a result, regional industrial structure adjustment and integrated development strategy research has important practical significance. Yangtze Delta has always been the main base for the development of the manufacturing industry in China.The manufacturing industry is facing a sharp drop in international demand, the interior face of resource and environmental constraints. Yangtze river delta is also China’s one of the most developed area in financial industry,financial agglomeration become the inevitable trend of financial development in this area. So, how to optimize the industrial structure in the sub-region to achieve regional integration enhance the competitiveness,is a prominent issue for the real economy.By means of spacial economics and based on the disparity of the financial sector and manufacturing industry among cities, this paper analyzes the influence of financial agglomeration for the manufacturing industry upgrading. First, on the basis of literature review,this paper analyses in theory the mechanism of the financial agglomeration affects manufacturing upgrade and then deduces the relationship between financial industry and manufacturing industry on the spatial dimension, as well as clarifying the function of transaction cost. Secondly, the paper describes the present situation, trend and characteristics of spatial layout from two aspects of the overall characteristic and local characteristic of Yangtze river delta.Through the space measurement method, the paper verifies the spatial correlation of manufacturing industry upgrade among cities,and builds the spatial panel model to checkout the effect financial agglomeration act on the manufacturing industry upgrade and the spatial spillover effect. Finally on the basis of the analysis of the empirical results, this paper puts forward the policy suggestions.In this paper, there are several research conclusions:First, the level of transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry in Jiangsu province is higher than that of Zhejiang province,while Zhejiang province’s financial industry is relatively developed, its financial agglomeration degrees is higher than that of Jiangsu province. In both financial agglomeration degree and degree of manufacturing industry upgrading,Shanghai are leading in Jiangsu and Zhejiang. Secondly,global and local spatial correlation test of the manufacturing industry reveals the spatial correlation and spatial evolution path among cities manufacturing upgrade in Yangtze river delta.Thirdly, in general, within the scope of Yangtzeriver delta, financial agglomeration can effectively promote the upgrading of local manufacturing.But in Zhejiang and Jiangsu, the conclusion, thus Zhejiang province’s financial agglomeration can effectively promote the upgrading of local manufacturing, while in Jiangsu province, the financial agglomeration is not the main reason for the manufacturing industry upgrade.In addition, financial agglomeration’s effects on the manufacturing industry upgrade has spatial spillover effect. This effect not only reflect in the influence of the manufacturing industry to upgrade in local area, but also has an obvious promoting effect on manufacturing upgrade for the surrounding areas through spatial spillover effect.Fourthly,to a certain extent,the improvement of traffic and informatization level speed up the manufacturing industry to upgrade by reducing transaction cost and promoting the financial agglomeration. Government intervention cannot directly promote the manufacturing industry to upgrade, but can affect it through influencing financial agglomeration. |
