Technological innovation is the key to the sustained and healthy development of agricultural science and technology enterprises. Integrating resources effectively under different innovation models contributes to improving innovation performance. In order to ensure the effective implementation of technological innovation, Chinese agricultural science and technology enterprises employ three technological innovation models: independent innovation model, cooperative innovation model and imitative innovation model. The portfolio, configuration and structure of resources involved in different technological innovation models are different. In the context of agricultural science and technology enterprises, this study explores the effect of technological innovation model on the relationship between resource integration and business performance. The first-hand information by investigation on 314 agricultural science and technology enterprises was used as the data sources. Structural equation modeling(SEM) method was adopted to test the hypothesis. The results show that resource integration produces an obvious positive effect on business performance, but the effect of technological innovation model is different. Compared with cooperative innovation model, the influences of resource integration on business performance may be more significant under independent innovation and imitative innovation model. The conclusions can provide not only empirical evidence, but also some important practical implications for agricultural science and technology enterprises.
