The Relationship Between Organizational Slack And Technological Innovation Under Dynamic Environment

Most research on organizational slack mechanism and technological innovation,only focus on the relationship between these two variables, while ignoring other factors especially the influence of the enterprise external environment factors on the relationship between the two variables. Because every enterprise is embedded in the specific environment, the different environments have different influence on the enterprise access to and use of resources and the value of the resource itself. In addition, organizational slack also is a kind of special resources, so the enterprise external environment is bound to have a profound impact on the relationship between organizational slack and technological innovation. Based on this, this paper will introduce the research frame work of the dynamic environment, and divides it into a stable environment and environmental turbulence in two dimensions, and discuss how these two dimensions affect the relationship between organizational slack and technological innovation. At the same time, taking into account the different resource types on the impact of technological innovation are also different, this paper will be divided into financial slack and human resources slack. After a detail literature review,this paper put forward the research hypothesis and the theoretical model, and the use of 205 different types of company managers survey data for the empirical analysis.The results of the study show that: first, organizational slack plays a promoting effect on the technological innovation; second, environmental dynamics on financial slack and technological innovation plays a positive regulatory role, so that the relationship between the two is more strongly; third, environmental dynamism has no significant moderating effect on the relationship between human slack and technological innovation.In China’s current economic situation and market conditions and circumstances,there abundant resources within the enterprise, not only to the full measure of the role of the enterprise, must according to the characteristics of the enterprise’s external environment, reasonable adjustment of redundant resources of different enterprises and use, make the organizational slack on enterprise innovation can play a positive role in the largest.
