In recent years, the rapid advance of interest rate marketization in China has important influence on the banking sector.As important participants of financial marketization reform,the methods the state-owned commercial banks take to deal with the interest rate marketization, not only relate to its own development, but also relate to the stability of the economy.It’s very meaningful to study how the interest rate marketization effect the state-owned commercial banks,and what the state-owned commercial banks should do.This paper studied the main characteristics of the state-owned commercial banks and the current economic environment and policy environment,and then analyzed the impact of interest rate marketization from four aspects:the current growth model is unsustainable,the capital price management is under more pressure,liquidity is suffering because market competition,the risk management facing more difficulties.This paper taked bank X as an example to verify the impact.This paper concluded that:in face of the complex macroeconomic environment and the fierce market competition,the state-owned commercial banks have its own competitive advantages in capital,products,client resource,technology,employee,resources and management experience.This paper gived some suggestions to the state-owned commercial banks.This paper thought that,five measures should be taken to cope with the marketization of interest rate,such as change management concept,adjust the business structure,strengthen the management of price,pay more attention to the customer management and improve performance assessment system. The state-owned commercial banks will explore a new way of reform and development.
